Core process Psychotherapy is a fusion of eastern and western philosophy and psychology and it is concerned with the totality of our being. The shape of our bodies, thoughts, feelings, perceptions, dreams how we move and express ourselves are all apart of who we are. As we explore the many layers of our present experience we can begin to see how our lives from the moment of our conception through birth and our early childhoods lay down the blue print for how we see ourselves and the world around us. They inform the shape we become in our adult lives, and the beliefs we have about ourselves.
What we are doing in Core process Psychotherapy is seeing and understanding how our process is restricting us, making us rigid and stuck in our beliefs and patterns. This awareness is itself transformative. As we begin to see our habitual ways we find that we have more choice around them; our defences naturally begin to soften and dissolve. We begin to free ourselves up and release the full potential within us. Creativity, fluidity and joy in our lives increases as we reconnect to the innate wisdom and health that is always there at the core of our being.
Core Process is a holistic psychotherapy that works with every aspect of our being. There are many reasons for starting the journey of psychotherapy, some of those are:-
⁃ Lack of self worth or self esteem.
⁃ Negative beliefs or patterns
⁃ Anxiety, stress, worry or fear.
⁃ Bereavement, loss and grief.
⁃ Isolation and loneliness.
⁃ Traumatic experiences.
⁃ Depression.
⁃ Difficulties in childhood.
⁃ Abuse.
⁃ Addiction.
- Anger and rage
It is worth bearing in mind that one does not have to have reason to begin therapy. The exploration of our inner landscape is an exciting and often challenging journey, and one that can take us to hidden depths of our being and have us soaring the heights of joy.
